Welcome Shilo!

Please help us welcome Shilo Long as the newest member of the staff at Great NorthWest Federal Credit Union!  Shilo will be joining us as the new Aberdeen Branch Manager, assuming the role after Marian Heckard was promoted to Loan Department Manager.

Shilo is a great addition to our team and brings energy and enthusiasm to her new role.  With excellent management and banking experience, she will help lead the Aberdeen teller line through many exciting, upcoming projects.

When her daughter was younger, Shilo had a passion for working with kids.  She worked at the YMCA of Tacoma Pierce County at their before and after school childcare program.  Realizing how much she enjoyed the work she was doing, Shilo decided to go back to school to get her ECE Degree.  After accomplishing this, she worked her way up through the organization at the YMCA to become a Multi-Site Director.

Unfortunately, Shilo lost her husband when her daughter was 11 years old and decided to relocate with her daughter to Grayland to live closer to family.  That’s when she discovered her career in financial services.

Shilo comes to the credit union with years of experience, beginning with Bank of America in 2009.  Starting her banking career as a teller, she worked her way up to Sales and Service Specialist, onto a Relationship Banker position and after 9 years and transitioning through two bank mergers, she was a Financial Services Representative II working at Interstate Bank in Westport.

In her free time, Shilo enjoys baking, kayaking, camping and spending lots of time with family and friends.
