Annual Free Community Shred Day is September 14th

Our Annual Free Community Shred Day event is taking place Saturday, September 14th 9AM - 12PM at our Aberdeen, Raymond and Long Beach branch locations.

The event is free to all, however, we are accepting donations of canned goods for local food banks.

Do you burn your sensitive documents? Maybe not now with the local burn bans. Bring your sensitive documents to us for safe, secure destruction.

Shredding sensitive documents is an important practice to protect your personal and confidential information from falling into the wrong hands. Here are some important reasons why shredding sensitive documents is crucial:

  1. Identity Theft Prevention: Identity theft is a serious crime that can lead to financial loss, legal issues, and emotional distress. Shredding documents containing personal information such as social security numbers, bank account details, and credit card information can help prevent identity theft.

  2. Privacy Protection: Sensitive documents often contain private information about individuals, including medical records, legal documents, and personal correspondence. Shredding these documents ensures that your privacy is maintained.

  3. Environmental Responsibility: Shredded paper can be recycled more easily than intact documents, contributing to environmental sustainability. Recycling shredded paper reduces the need for cutting down more trees and conserves energy.

  4. Reducing Clutter: Shredding old and unnecessary documents helps de-clutter your workspace and living environment, making it easier to find important documents and improve organization.

  5. Fraud Prevention: Criminals may go through discarded documents in search of valuable information to commit fraud or scams. Shredding documents makes it much harder for them to access such information.

  6. Peace of Mind: Knowing that sensitive information is securely destroyed through shredding can provide peace of mind, reducing anxiety about the potential consequences of data exposure.

In summary, shredding sensitive documents is a crucial step in safeguarding personal, financial, and confidential information, and it plays a significant role in identity theft prevention, and maintaining privacy.
